JYL Calepinage (the "App") is a tile and parquet layout app (start point, cuts and quantities). This policy explains how your data is handled.

Key point: JYL Calepinage only stores the information you enter yourself, and it stays stored locally on your device. No data is sent to a server or to third parties.

2. Data concerned

JYL Calepinage does not collect any personal data within the meaning of the GDPR.

The App works entirely offline. The information you enter is stored exclusively on your device:

Room dimensions and tile/plank sizes
Layout options (layout type, joint, minimum cut, waste, laying direction)
Saved projects (name and creation date)
Preferences (language, theme, default waste)

3. Data storage

All your data is stored locally:

Web version: in your browser's local storage (localStorage)
Mobile version: in the app's local storage on your device

No cloud sync, no remote server, no centralised backup. Only you can access your data.

4. Cookies and trackers

JYL Calepinage uses no tracking cookies, analytics cookies or tracking scripts. We do not use Google Analytics or any other tracking platform.

5. Third-party resources

The App loads an icon font (Font Awesome) from a content delivery network (CDN). This technical request may pass standard information (IP address, browser type) to the CDN provider, under its own policy. No layout data is involved. Once installed and cached, the App works offline.

6. User rights (GDPR)

You keep full control of your data:

Access and rectification: your data is visible and editable directly in the App.
Deletion: you can delete a project at any time, or clear your browser/device local storage to remove everything.

7. Technical data

The web server hosting the App may receive minimal technical information (IP address, browser type) through standard server logs. This is used only for security and stability and is not processed on a personal basis.

8. Usage disclaimer

Calculations provided by JYL Calepinage are indicative and based on best practice (DTU 52.2 for tiling, NF DTU 51.x for parquet). They must be verified by a professional before any real job. JYL Calepinage cannot be held liable for losses or errors resulting from the use of the results.

This policy may be updated. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
